To hear the relief in a parents/guardian’s voice when you tell them “Please don’t worry, we can help you with the funeral costs.” Is an amazing feeling. Their world has just been destroyed and a massive financial burden adds to this nightmare. Families are not prepared to hear the devastating news “Your child has been killed in a road traffic incident” nor are they prepared for the financial burden attached to this dreadful nightmare.
Some people might assume that children’s funerals are free
Sadly this is not the case.
While it’s true that some undertakers do not charge for their services for a child up to 16, there are still countless other 3rd party costs involved which can amount to thousands of pounds.
