A few weeks ago Bev was out in the car and was approached by a curious lovely lady named Bernie who asked what the charity is all about. Bev gave her all the information she needed and she immediately wanted to make a donation of £50.
We met Bernie today at Brighouse market where she runs a stall named “Get Jiggy.” This is her way of raising funds for the many different small charities in the area and she does an excellent job in supporting those charities.
You will find Bernie on her stall on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. She sells jigsaws for all ages as well as other little bits and pieces.
All proceeds go to charities of her choice and finding. Hence the car brought our Foundations attention to her.
She relies on all she sells being donated, so if you have any books, jigsaws or nik naks cluttering your home, Bernie would really appreciate them.
She’s a very sociable lovely lady to chat to. We will certainly be donating some things to help her raise more funds.
So get down to the Brighouse market she’s there until 2pm on both days if jigsaws are your thing, or even if you have anything you might like to donate. Bernie would love to see and talk to you.
Let’s all help Bernie to continue her amazing work.
Thank you so much for your generous donation Bernie. We are very grateful
