Partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Police and Crime Teams initiative Vision Zero

We are very proud to announce that we have been invited to work in partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Police and Crime Teams initiative Vision Zero.
Vision Zero is a national strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries by 2040, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all.
Quite a target you might think but I’m sure we can continue to play a part in saving many lives by using our presentation “Life Sentence” to future drivers in our schools and to current drivers in businesses throughout West Yorkshire. We certainly raise awareness of the consequences of irresponsible driving!

We believe that no death or serious injury is acceptable on our roads, and we are working in partnership to reduce road danger in our region.

The Combined Authority have established a West Yorkshire Vision Zero Board to provide leadership on our commitment to reducing the number of people killed and seriously injured (KSI) on our roads by 50% by 2030, and to zero by 2040.
